Additional Notes

This page provides a guide to the terminology and interface conventions used across the Tavqerylo system. It is intended for users who want to understand specific terms before beginning a review session.

Introduction

The Tavqerylo system uses a specific set of terms to describe its structure, its content areas, and the actions available to users. These terms appear consistently throughout the interface, the navigational elements, and the supporting documentation on this site.

Understanding these terms before beginning a review session makes the experience of navigating the system more straightforward. This guide explains each term as it is used within the platform, rather than in any general technical sense.

Key Terms Explained

Information Organisation

Within the Tavqerylo system, information organisation refers to the process of assigning content items to defined categories and subcategories, and of arranging those categories in a structure that reflects the relationships between subject areas. This is the core function of the system.

The term does not imply that the system reorganises information on behalf of the user. It describes the arrangement that exists within the platform, which users navigate rather than alter.

Structured Content

Structured content refers to any content item that has been classified according to the platform’s categorisation scheme. All content available within the system is structured in this way. Content that has not yet been classified does not appear in the review interface.

The term structured does not mean that content is presented in a rigid format. It means that each item has been assigned metadata, including its category, subcategory, and any cross-references to related items.

Content Review

Content review is the primary activity that users carry out within the Tavqerylo system. It involves navigating to a section of the classification structure, reading or examining the items available within that section, and following cross-references to related items where relevant.

The system does not impose a fixed sequence on the review process. Users may begin wherever is most relevant to their interest and follow their own path through the available content.

Classification Hierarchy

The classification hierarchy is the layered structure within which content is organised. At the top level, broad subject areas form the primary categories. Within each primary category, narrower subcategories group related content items together. Individual content items sit at the lowest level of the hierarchy.

Users navigate the hierarchy by moving from broad to narrow, or by following cross-references that jump between related areas at the same level.

Category

A category is a named grouping within the classification hierarchy. Each category has a label that describes its subject area and a defined scope that determines which content items belong within it. Categories at the same level of the hierarchy are not expected to overlap.

Cross-Reference

A cross-reference is a link within the review interface that connects one content item to another related item, which may be in a different category or subcategory. Cross-references help users follow thematic or conceptual threads that run across the classification structure rather than within a single category.

Access Enquiry

An access enquiry is a message submitted through the contact form in which a user expresses interest in reviewing content within the system. The enquiry is reviewed by the Tavqerylo support team, who respond with relevant guidance. The term enquiry is used because access arrangements are subject to review rather than automatic.

The Interface

The interface refers to the navigational and presentational layer of the system that users interact with during a review session. This includes the navigation structure, the category listings, the individual content displays, and the cross-reference links. The interface is consistent across all sections of the system.

The interface is designed to make content accessible without requiring users to have a technical background. All labels and navigation elements use plain descriptive language.

Support Team

The support team refers to the personnel at Tavqerylo Information Systems Ltd. who are responsible for handling user enquiries, reviewing access requests, and maintaining the classification structure. Enquiries submitted through the contact form are directed to the support team’s inbox.

A Note on Terminology Across This Site

The terms described on this page are used consistently across the Tavqerylo website and platform. If you encounter a term that is not explained here and that is not self-evident from the context, you are welcome to ask through the contact form.

The vocabulary used on this site reflects the platform’s nature as an information-organisation system. It does not use terminology drawn from unrelated fields, and it avoids descriptions that would misrepresent the platform’s capabilities.
